Travelling north on the A34 between Milton Park and Abingdon there is a mobile camera indentified as 12609 in the Pocket GPS World data base. There is no warning on either of my TomTom's for it. I solved this by deleting this POI and adding a new one. It makes me wonder how many other camera warnings are missing and why.

Does the camera appear on your TomTom? If so then it is not the fault of the database!

The mobile camera (70mph) appears on the road but not in the top left corner of the screen. Mobile cameras (70mph) further along the A34 have a warning.

If it appears on the map then our data is OK.

Perhaps it is in a file that you haven't configured for alerts? i.e. it could be in the Mobiles or pMobiles file set. You may have one or the other configured but not the one in which is exists?

I'm helping another member at the moment who sent me his TomTom ONE so that I could look to investigate why his warning sound for a camera isn't working. He lives a couple of hundred miles away and I'd spent an hour on the phone trying to solve it with him. When I switched it on I found this clue.....

I have tried route demo's past pmobile and mobile cameras. It seems to be just this camera that does not trigger a warning.

Have you got the Warn When Near POI set for "Warn only if POI on route" for the mobile 70 category? if so untick this selection and try a route demo past the camera see if that alters the situation - I am wondering if the device is ignoring the camera due to the location being the end of a slip road joining the A34, the nav unit might consider the POI to be on a different road and therefore not issue the warning - Mike

Hi Mike

I find that even if that box is ticked I still get a warning of camera on another road that is within the warning distance.
Has anyone tested this camera on their device.

Regards
Brian

Yes. I get both the visual and audio warning for that camera on my 720.

I've just done it too (slower than Anita, who is younger) and I get visual and audible warnings for it.

OK
Mike seems to have the answer.
I just reloaded the mobile file, took the tick out of the box and I now get the warning.
Thanks to you all for your help.
Brian.

P.S. I have noticed when driving on the M4 I have got warning for cameras on other roads close by and that is with the box ticked.

I always have "Warn only if POI on route" ticked, and I get an alert when doing a route demo past that camera. Confused

Could you be a bit more specific please? Ever since they got rid of that dirty rotten mobile at Junction 14, I have felt there were no other "nearby" alerts. I did Bristol to London on Thursday and didn't notice any.

Having said which, a few Navcores ago, TomTom relaxed the "On Route" settings and that caused a huge overnight increase in the "nearby" alerts. It gives a lot of alerts for cameras on the opposite carriageway on M4 and other motorways and dual carriageways. I don't get them on my old TT GO700 running Navcore 6.520. That's progress for you!

Oh, just seen Anita's post and I have the same setup = ticked Warn only on route and that camera warned.

Dennis
I have not been to South Wales recently but I was getting a warning for a camera on one of the roads that the M4 went over (can't remember which) on every trip. I have looked but can't find it now.
Are you running the latest camera database?
Brian

I sure am using the latest DB. The mobile I hated has been deleted and it was just off the M4 at junction 14. Bit of an unreasonable hate I suppose, but I never could see it on my screen as I went past. Then one day I had occasion to use the road off that junction and saw the icon located in a field at the side, so with great glee I reported in to the DB boss (MaFt) that it was a rubbish location so please dump it. Sadly he replied that the submission comments said it was in a layby so he had moved it into the layby and it remained to torment me until quite recently.
