Gaining space, internal memory, TomTom XL

I have a TT XL Live IQ Routes Europe and I now have very little space left on the device.

I have removed all but the two UK voices and could, if pushed, remove one more.

What other files/facilities can I safely remove to gain extra memory?

The contents of the "Raster" folder can be removed and all you will notice missing is the over-view map if you zoom all the way out, it certainly isnt needed for normal use and will claw back 10,5MB of storage space.

"HelpMe" is another folder you can purge to save 3,5MB of space, OK this means the HelpMe icon won't do a great deal from the menu but ask yourself if you really need this function?

Licences will free up a further 1MB

Thanks for the info.

Now I have removed the voices for Martians, Jovians and all other people with languages foreign to me I have 183 MB remaining.

This remains after I have installed all speed cameras (from here) and all my own POIs so the situation is not as bad as I thought it might be.

You can also check your map folder and see if you have any cspeech files in there.

As your device doesn't support ASR you can safely delete them.

Anyway, you have tons of space now - I have managed to completely fill my XL LIVE with screenshots once and then it just locks up and reboots!
