Mike (or anyone) as you are worldly wise can you suggest which female voice I would be using on my old Ipaq? - I cant look at mine as it got stolen in Portugal whilst I was there on holiday hence the new TomTom

It was probably Jane when you were running TTN5 or 6 on the iPAQ but the 940 opens up a whole new world of speech options and I suggest you try Kate which is a computer voice, this way the device won't just say Turn Right but will offer you the "Turn Right on to Preston New Road" for example.
A computer voice can read out place names as well as road names and can make the whole GPS guidance so much easier when you are travelling in areas you don't know too well - Mike

Thanks Mike - I think you are right with Jane but I will give Kate the benefit and try her over a longer journey. I prefer the female voice as when something goes wrong with the directions I can shout "silly ...... woman" and it makes me feel better!!
