I was able to download the beta fine without any problem for the Blackberry 9530/ 9500. However, when I select the Map Me option I get an error (Your Location Is Temporary Unavailable, Place Device In An Open Area And Try Again).

Now I have all the GPS options enabled on my Blackberry and I know this because I run Google Maps and LifeInPocket gps app on my phone all the time without a problem.

Please if you can assist me I would truly appreciate it. My email is o_afariogun@yahoo.com or you could PM me if you prefer. Thanks!

I contacted customer support at support@telmap.com and they believe I downloaded the wrong version so they asked me to give them some information off of my Blackberry Storm such as pin, IMEI, and so on to address the issue. I am waiting to hear back from them and will post the new findings here in this forum.

I've found that sometimes the 'map me' option gives the error location unavailable but then immediately planning a route works. Almost as if it's using different code around the GPS function.

Hello,

The Telmap User Group do not support the BackBerry Tour device at the moment.

Once this device will be supported I will let all Telmap User Group members know.

If you are having issues with getting a GPS fix - please make sure you are in open space areas, get away from tall building and wait a few seconds before rewusting a GPS fix.

Any updates on getting this working for the storm 9530? I would love to start testing. I sent an email to support but never received an answer.
