I seem to remember a year or two ago compiling a list of links to post in answer to it - links to previously asked questions to save us posting the same old hackneyed replies. |
Quote: | I'm afraid we can't comment on individual submissions as checking takes an inordinate amount of time and we'd have no time to do other work (there are only four of us). But don't worry, if your camera report is the first, and passes verification, you'll automatically get upgraded. We have a very efficient automated system which is double-checked manually and meticulously by our database manager.
Please see verification criteria here:

On this page you will also see links to threads which have all discussed the question of our Lifetime Subscriber awards. Please read them to get a feel of how the process has been discussed in the past. |

Usually though, the OP stays in the argument and doesn't leave it with his one and only post on the forum. Everyone is currently talking to the converted. _________________ Gerry

I'm still waiting very patiently for some camera locations in south west Netherlands to be confirmed. It's now nearly 2 years since I added them!! I assume that if I see red boxes with crosses in them on the map where I added them, this means that they're still to be verified?
Adding cameras abroad can be an easy way to being the first to record that camera .... but it seems that this doesn't necessarily result in a speedy way to free lifetime membership. |

Grahama41,
Due to the nature of such queries PocketGPSWorld.com has undertaken as policy not to discuss a camera submission or submissions by an individual for inclusion in the speed camera database.
ALL submissions are checked and where they meet reporting criteria etc are verified as soon as practical but whilst we offer no warranty as to the speed with which submissions will be checked and verified, we strive to process them as quickly and in as timely a manner as possible.
Please read this thread which explains the criteria for Lifetime Membership.
More information about the verification process can be found in DennisN's article 'A Day in The Life of a PocketGPSWorld.com Verifier'.
Moderators and Verifiers do not have access to individual submissions and have been instructed not to respond to such requests but instead to post this reply. _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

I also submitted a few before I was first, however in my case I definitely was in the right place at the right time, as I was working at one of our depots (commercials vehicles) and I saw a camera being installed right outside. I sent it in there and then figuring if I wasn't first with that then I had no chance
It still took a good few months after that for I guess verification etc etc until I did get my award. So it really does work. _________________ Samsung S22 Android, Google Maps & Camera Alert |
