I've just packed my Active 10 off to SatMap for its 2 year old overhaul...getting awfully slow on changing pages...charging is very slow, after a night still only 2 bars this morning...apart from that..not a lot. Just wondering if anybody else has sent theirs back and whether it came back 'good as new?' |

I sent mine back for the service after I had for a year, came back looking like new. Complete new case, glass, buttons, and screen cover. |

Stupidly, and for those that maybe don't know, you have to use the SatMap charger for the battery. I've been trying to use my phone charger with MiniUSB, but they are obviously different. It does charge OK however, from the PC with the USB lead....lesson learn't. |

I've used various chargers, direct from Map, an in-car USB-12v and even my Blackberry wall-wart USB charger and all have worked.
Not scientific tests but the Satmap charger is faster than the other 240v - mini-USB chargers I've used but not by much. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |

It will depend on the amount of current the adapter can pump out. When the Li-Poly battery is very low it can handle quite large charging currents - a small mobile phone charger probably won't be able to pump out these levels so the charging period is longer. _________________ Phil |
