I've managed to find a workaround for the consolidated database issue, if you rename each file removing the second underscore, i.e. change "pocketgps_uk_gatso.csv" to ""pocketgps_ukgatso.csv" it seems to work OK. You still have to import one camera type at a time.

/signed.

It's a slow process but yes...
-remove the second underscore from the .csv and .png files
-mount the usb
-copy over the first pair (eg:pocketgps_ukgatso.csv and .png)
-unmount the usb
-launch CoPilot for the import.
-exit CoPilot
-re-mount the usb
-copy the next pair
-rinse, repeat

It appears to import each set successfully, and they are all listed under:

Settings|Manage POIs|Edit POI Sets.

However, still scratching my head over why they aren't listed under:

Settings|POI Alerts|Select POIs to Alert

...this does have a "Safety Cameras" set that can be ticked, but isn't this the default Camera data set..?

OK, so this only (possibly) applies to Android/Donut, but here goes...

Download the PGPSW CoPilot 7 Single file database. This includes two .csv files (cameras and pMobiles). If you want the th pMobiles as well, open both files in Excel and copy/paste the pMobiles into the main file. Remember to make sure the last row with the copyright info is still there.

Rename the file as PGPSW Safetycams.csv (or whatever) and copy it to the CoPilot/Save directory on your SD card. Unmount and restart CPL8. It will now find the POI set and you get the option to change the name (I didn't bother). You can choose a POI category, or create a new one. Creat a new one and name it PGPSW Safetcams (or whatever). You can then choose an icon, so scroll through and pick the safety camera icon.

It will now ask if you are importing safety cameras. Check Yes and continue. Voila! 11 thousand odd safety cameras successfully imported!

So it now works, but why do they make it so sodding hard???

I've just imported the one file and it worked fine, dont know whether I can really be bothered to import each sort separately, doesnt really matter what sort of camera it is, if its there, or could be, I tend to check my speed anyway.

The update is an improvement. The Road speed warning is larger and easier to see on the HTC Hero, and the speed camera warnings have been enlarged also. Overall I am now very impressed with Co-Pilot, they only need to increase the standard of Customer care, especially in the area of communication.

Now all I want is the traffic facility, anybody got any ideas when that will become available

Kinda typical of ALK lately unfortunately - half fix the problem and create a few more issues along the way.
