They would appear to have another web site
http://www.inforadgps.com/index.php
I notice that if you buy one of these units they ask you to submit new cameras, then after the first 12 months you have to pay to get new updates that customers are supplying to them for free. |

It has been pointed out to me by the UK distributors of the Inforad, that despite the statement on the Inforad site:
Inforad Website wrote: | Can be simultaneously used as a GPS receiver - compatible NMEA-0183 v2.0 for navigation applications, running on PCs (cable provided) or Pocket PC (cable optional).
|
The Optional Pocket PC cables are not available at the moment. _________________ Mike Barrett |

I see that Inforad are now advertising their GPS Speed Camera Warning System and that its database is supplied by PocketGPSWorld.com
A pretty comprehensive detector seems to be available for under £30. with a lifetime database update.
Anybody have one and/or care to comment? |

Altough PGPSW does have a rather good Lifetime Membership offer as a carrot |

What ever happened to the promise of Inforad introducing the C1 to the UK ?
I was looking forward to ditching my Talex for one of these some months ago and enjoying a better database.
I did email Inforad who said it would be here soon, and that was months ago. _________________ DashCam:
