Just to say that this app really does work. We used for a yomp around STANTA Military training ground up in Norfolk. We trekked well over 12 miles using this and it spot on and didn't fail once.

The compass is a good thing yomping as Norfolk is flat and featureless but with the contour lines you can trek "blind" and be dumped anywhere and given a few minutes work out where you are.

This app really comes into it's own on a 10.2" tablet that makes the maps a doddle a read and navigate to.

I too have been using Memorymap for a long time and agree that this is a great alternative for the Android platform. My only criticism would be that unlike Memorymap I am unable to plot routes in advance using this app.

I frequently used MM for training purposes; plotting routes of a pre-defined distance in advance, which I could then following (walk/run/cycle etc). I imagine a lot of people use this function.....?

Is it possible to add this functionality? Would it drastically increase the size/decrease performance of the app.

Just a thought... Very Happy

Try MMTracker(from the market) it reads your qct maps and you can still create routes and tracks in MM and transfer them to your phone, it also creates waypoints.
