Just started downloading the map upgrade for my TT One V2....

Wonder if they've corrected my street name yet??

Submitted it about 9 times to TeleAtlas over the past 3 years...
Not holding out for a positive answer..

No doubt I'll find out in 2 hours when the map downloads... Smile

My 540 has the same problem. No HD Traffic after updating the map. Can you get Google, Weather and update mobile cameras? Only Traffic is missing on mine.

Exactly the same here TomTom 540, HD traffic missing all other services working.

I've called TomTom and have been taken through factory resets, manual deletion of the app. and now they are emailing me details of how to extract some information from the device to send them.

We shall see.

I'm tempted to just reinstall from a backup and see what I get/Start again.

Dave.

W&CE 2GB 835.2419 downloaded fine for the XL LIVE IQ Routes, and guess what - stuck in the endless reboot cycle!

Used Operate My Go in HOME and all is fine after that - all favourites etc retained BUT it was as if I had reset to factory settings as I had to select language and right/left handed etc afterwards??

Why can't they get a simple thing like a map update right???

Same thing here - looping on a 940. Fixed by deleting mapsettings.cfg - what a nuisance to set all the speed alarms and favourites again!

First Thank goodness for Pocket GPS World, much better support than TomTom who have not even replied to my support request.

Yup, I bet there are a lot of disgruntled users out there who are stuck with a non working device and getting no help from Tomtom. It really is poor. I am not a computer programmer but if the map is just newer data I don't understand why it would become corrupted due to trying to use the previous mapsettings.cfg. Tomtom quickly needs a rewrite in the Navcore so this issue stops.

I still think my device is potentially superb but I find it so hard to love it! Smile

Hi Calomax
Its strange. You have a 720 and me likewise yet you had the reboot problem and I did not. I had all my camera warnings, Kate, and favourites intact yet you didn’t. Why should this be? Identical devices and the same software. The problem baffles me.

Can you guys post up details of which Home application version number you are running?

I would hate to think this issue is being caused by that wonderful PC interface that TomTom provide called Home but I certainly wouldn't be too surprised if were Shocked - Mike

I am using TT Home 2.7 with my 8.37 Navcore 940.

It just dawned on me that if I had rolled HOME back to 2.5 I could have gone in and edited a favourite by operating my device and then it would have booted up ok?

I am sure HOME made me upgrade saying it was a critical upgrade? They must have found it was working too well so forced me to upgrade to a buggy version! Oh I am really not a Tomtom fan right now, Laughing Out Loud! Smile

In fairness, I was stuck in the endless reboot cycle, I called TomTom in the UK and a very helpful chap got me back up and running in a couple of minutes by deleting a couple of files (no big deal for me as I don't use favourites). Very Happy

Unfortunately, I am now back in the queue on the phone, as LIVE services appear to have vanished. Crying or Very sad

Just installed latest map via a mobile dongle - took just over 4 hours and a time-out on the server, but eventually loaded without further problem.
Would be nice to know exactly what major roads they have updated, as the One Way system at Whitechapel, London still remains in its old format despite having submitted it via Corrections.

what part of whitechapel are you having problems with...

I go through there at least twice a day and havent noticed any issues....

I come up through upper thames street....via BANK and then round whitechapel and then onto a back street to the HIGHWAY

Hi Mike
My details are shown in my Signature. It would make things easier if everyone filled that section in on their profile. It saves asking questions.

Mike, I'm on HOME 2.7.0.1785, App 8.351, Map WE 835.2419.

Since I posted this morning, I've had a bit more time so I copied my mapsettings.cfg back from the backup I made just before I downloaded the map. Then using "Operate my Go" in HOME, I deleted the favourites I had created as temporary ones. It's now working properly again and I didn't have to reset the warnings.

Exactly the same as me. See my post from this morning.

The title of this thread refers to new maps 835.2419

Yet after updating my TomTom ONE XL...it shows maps as 835.2420

am i in front or behind ?

Also do TomTom produce a list of the changes in the maps ?
