TT upgrade OR move on to something new!

Hello to all readers,

I am currently using a Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox 560N with TT Nav 6 and European Maps. Apparently there are no further map releases for this version - now three years on, at least.

What options are available to me - if any - to upgrade? Should I stick with TT and go for a standalone product and if so, which model?

Should I try another make and if so, once again, what are the options for European maps?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am 75 and have decided that a mobile phone could be useful whilst driving on the Continent (and home, I guess) purely for emergency use.

Has anyone any advice on a suitable phone? Should it be/Could it be Pay As You Go?

Would it be better to combine phone and sat nav into one unit and, if so, any recommendation on products, please?
