TomTom 24 Months Pre Paid Map Update Subscription Card

Don't shoot me down if this has been posted before

But I was in John Lewis today and on the shelf was a (TomTom 24 Months Pre Paid Map Update Subscription Card) costing £69-95 the assistants did not really know much about it but stated it was for 8 updates in a 2 year period .

My point is after reading the Tomtom Website it seems it has to be purchased within 90 days of buying a new Tomtom.

But what happens if a unsuspecting John Lewis customer picks up one of these cards and takes it to the till and when they get home cannot update the maps with it as they have a 18 month old Tomtom

Have I read the info on the tomtom website incorrectly or will John Lewis have a lot of unhappy customers ???

Hi,
I got the same offer on a 930T from Currys about 2-3 weeks ago and if I recall it was for 90 days from purchase and the offer was valid for redemption until (I think) September.The offer is for EU map only but
I entered the key through TTHome and all was registered OK,I then updated from the 8.15 maps supplied to 830 (both US and EU).
