connecting to Haicom203e GPS to Fujitsu Siemmens Loox600

Hi ive recently purchased a Loox 600 PDA and also a new Haicom203e incl connection cables from globalpositioningsystems.co.uk, when connected together im not able to get any sign that these are both communicating using either tomtom or gpsinfo (haicom utility), calbe is powering my Loox and Haimcom is showing a red led firstly flashing then after a minute or two staying on. Can anyone please help with this problem, i have disabled any incoming ir signals in case of conflicts.
