I have a new GO 730 to replace my old TT One. I also have an LG KF 750 phone (never will buy LG again!!) but I have managed to get it to connect to the TT for phone and traffic use despite LG telling me I couldn't. However, try as I have, I cannot get the phone book to transfer to the Go. I found two contact folders in the TT drive, "called" and "callers" but no phone book. I have an Excel file of my contacts from the LG phone which I can save as a CSV file. Should I create a new folder to hold them, if so what should it be called? And what is the format for the TT phone book ie how many "" and commas?
Yes I know I should have a TT compatible phone, but how much do you need to change your life until TomTom are happy with it. Oops, and there's me thinking I was a customer. |

The format is as follows:
" Paul Halfway Hse/H","01234567890"
" Paul Halfway Hse/W","0034123456789"
" Paul Halfway Hse/M","0791234567"
Go to This page where there is a spreadsheet that can be used to output the data in the required format - Mike |

Hi Mike,
That was blooming quick service. Ten minute turn around. Many thanks indeed.
I followed the link and used the spread sheet. One of the formulas was broken but a quick copy and paste sorted that. I found the "notepad" save worked better for me than the "Word" method. My TT 730 has a contacts folder which contains "called and callers" folders. The phone book didn't work when I installed it in the root folder but did instantly when it put in the Contacts folder.
Again, thanks for your help and all the other guys on the forum also. Much appreciated. |
