I am looking for a quality large screen format sat nav for use in my HGV race car transporter.
I am new to GPS stuff, and apart from some links on the Garmin web site not working at all, I am unclear as to the exact differences between the 7200 and 7500 units offered. Can anyone explain in beginners terms just what this is please?
Do they work off 24 volts? It's not a big issue, the truck has a fairly high amperage 12 volt voltage converter fitted for the radio / CD player i can plug into.
I also see re-furbished 7200 units offered from USA based Ebay Power Sellers for a LOT less than buying from the UK, even with insured carriage. Am I safe buying a US sourced 7200? Or should I buy from a UK reseller? Are there any other 7 inch plus screen sat navs I should consider?
Get big-time mapping and advanced navigation features for your RV, van or truck with the StreetPilot 7200 and 7500. You won't miss a thing, whether you choose the StreetPilot 7200 with preloaded maps and a huge 7-inch touch screen display or the 7500 with all that plus dead-reckoning.
So it looks like the main difference between the 2 is the 7500 has Dead Reckoning (the ability to calculate your position when you enter a tunnel or area of low signal).
