TTN3 Bluetooth UK Maps + HP4150 - will it be 100% OK

Got the HP4150 - so far very, very good.

Q. Will TTN3 BT work reliably?

Soon, as a new user to this combination, we will know.

Having read some, not all of the forum, there seems to be no definitive answer one way or the other about TTN3.

Also, I found a wide variation in prices & delivery on the net but RL-Supplies & EBuyer seemed to be the best deals out there. Most suppliers are out of stock (delivery from TomTom expected the 15th they say) , so the product is either very good or simply just low.

I have been using the icn630 for 10 months, and generally it has been very good (can't live without it) but will TTN3 BT be better??

I have used that combination for about 1 week now, and haven't had any problems. I got my TTN3 BT from ebuyer, it was easiest the best price I could find, I had to wait about 3 weeks for it though.

One thing to look out for seems to be a total lack of documentation on the BT device. It doesn't tell you about holding the ON button down for about 2 seconds when switching on, or 3 - 4 seconds when switching off. It doesn't tell you what the LED's mean.

From what I can tell.

Blue flashing left LED = BT on and looking for connection
Blue constant left LED = BT established connection to IPAQ
constant Red LED = needs charging
Green flashing right LED = fixed on satalites

when charging red LED goes off when fully charged.

Also I made the mistake of thinking all the car charging cables came in the box, as all the reviews I found suggested. TomTom stopped doing this a while ago. You only get mains chargers and a cable for a car kit.

You will need a car charger of some description as the battery life is very poor about 3 hours from what I can tell.

A part from those niggles, its great!

PS. download and install the Checkpoint and the Postcode applications, they really make a difference, postcode in TT is not very good to say the least.
