Heiter,

Sorry to keep repeating this but...

Can you find this folder anywhere else on your PC?

When you unzipped the downloaded file "pgpsw-speed-cams-vl9PF.zip" from the PGPSW website, where did you unzip it to?

Also did you try to use TT Home to load the files in any way?

Open TT Home

Tools Menu

TomTom Home Preferences

Folder Preferences

What folders are listed?

Is one of them

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\pgpsw-speed-cams-vl9PF

My guess is the Download folder?

If so, you've specified the desktop as the location for one of the folders TomTom Home uses. So every time the folder is deleted if you reopen TT Home it'll regenerate the folder.

That PC is now with a PC repairer to check out. I have started-up my spare PC and downloaded the camera software with some noticeable differences. The downloaded file now shows pgpsw-speed-cams-NCfet. I don't recall NCfet showing when d-loaded on other PC. Also different is that under the TomTom file it now shows:TomTom HOME Download with two sub-folders Complete then temp which is followed by two folders From Device and Sharing. Hope this helps.

Cheers...

This has been explained in previous threads. It's part of the security measures on the database and changes with each download. You'll see some times it's been xxx out of your posts.

Those folders look normal.

Do you get the same problem with this computer?

At the end of the day i can repeat the original problem on the other PC by changing the location of one of the folders TomTom uses to my desktop. Check the settings i listed above and I'll bet one points to the desktop. Change it back to where it should be (it'll be similar to the others) and this will fix it.

I'll check tomorrow when the errant PC is retrieved. Thanks for your help, appreciated.

You bet correctly... Desktop it was. How I don't know, must have been a slip of the fingers, tiredness or both. That sorted and now the PC shows the blue screen with advice that it needs to shut-down due to a serious fault. Frustration abounds! Thanks for all the help.

Cheers...
