I downloaded the latest map under the "latest map guarantee" and now the PocketGPS cameras are no longer announced (or their logo shown) and all my "favourite" locations have disappeared. The PocketGPS cameras are stll shown on the map, though.
I was a good boy, though, and backed up all the files on the TomTom before I downloaded the map.
Can someone tell me, please, which files to restore to get back the camera announcements and the favourites?

Do another quick backup now of the device with the new map in case it goes wrong so you've still got the new map. (I'm assuming you're using Windows Explorer, not Home).
Then copy and paste the Mapsettings.cfg file from the map folder on your earlier backup into the new map folder.
This doesn't work for everybody, you haven't said which device and Navcore you had/now have, which are relevant. If it doesn't work, come back for more advice on how to sort it. _________________ Dennis

Thanks, Dennis. I shall give it a go.
I am using a backup program called Active Backup Expert, which creates one large zip file for each backup and can make incremental backups. I shall make a new full backup, though, as the map is a very large proportion of the data on the disk.
I don't understand what you mean by device or Navcore. Is the device the GO 740 LIVE? And I have found a screen that says version 8.351; is that Navcore?
I shall report back later in the day.

It worked !!
Well, at least Home and Favourites have come back; I shall have to wait and see if the mobile cameras are announced when I go out this pm.
Thanks to you both.

No need to wait, try planning an A to B route past a known camera and then demo it. _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |

Now, why didn't I think of that? !
The demo didn't announce the camera (but the logo came up on the screen), but junctions weren't announced either. I think this might be my fault, rather than TomTom's.

I had the speed set too high. It all works fine.
Thanks.
