Hi people
I have a Medion 210T which i've had for a couple of years now. The maps are obviously out of date and the operating software is not very user friendly!. Are there any updates available for the operating software and maps? (free ones would be good) .
Thanks

You would need to look on the Medion Shop web site HERE (opens in a new window).

On the left side you will see a heading list in dark blue 'Main Shop Page', just click the SAT NAV - Accessories - Maps.

Then see if your device is listed.

Medion are known not to give great support for their products, maps etc being part of it.

The other thing is that to use the safety cameras from PGPSW you would need to purchase an add-on program called POI-Warner for about £20. This even applies to their latest gps units as well.

Sorry this is not more helpful Crying or Very sad but those are the facts.

Thanks Pocketgps
They are a bit expensive. You could buy a new Sat nav for the price of their upgrades!
I've had a search online and found someone has unlocked it and said they now have tomtom maps running on it.
Shed any light on this?
thanks

Without searching all the web site, I think that you would find it was TT 5, that is also very old now and again not supported by TT.

You are right about how much Medion charge for their poor updates.

You may have to consider purchasing a new unit. IF you do then I would look towards a TomTom or Garmin. At least they do offer frequent updates to both software and mapping.

I bought a Medion 200S from Aldi in spring 2005 for use with a motorhome. It worked fine but I was never able to get updated maps for it from Medion and about a year ago I decided to get a new GPS. That's when I found out the 200S was a badged Navigon and because the 200S featues suited my motorhome use I bought a Navigon 2100max (subsequently adding 2 years map updates and POI-Warner).
If I bought now I would go for a 4350max.
