|

I would like to keep my CF slot for storage but it doesn't seem like there are any other options to connect to a GPS for my e800 besides CF. I might consider an expensive bluetooth SD card but they're hard to find. Anyone know where I can get one that's compatible with the e800? AFAIK the e800 (a north american model) has WiFi but NOT bluetooth already so I would have to add it on.
So, what other options are available for my e800 besides CF? Can't WiFi connect to a GPS? how about a wired solution? |

The easiest way would indeed be a SD BT card, but from the specs it looks like the synch port does also have a serial interface so theoretically it should also be possible to connect a wired receiver. Personally I would go with the BT connection, though. _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your reply. Is there any reason why bluetooth is better besides the lack of wires? |

If you compare BT to CF there are two more advantages
- free placement of antenna in car
- GPS receiver has its own power supply , doesn't affect Pocket PC's battery life (assuming that BT is set to low range and consumes less than CF) _________________ Lutz
