Hi PGPS,
When submitting locations on the web page there seems to be a problem with the search element. If there are more than one possibility for a given town, village etc a list appears but when clicking on the correct one the web page defaults back to the home page. Try finding "Ceres" and you are given a list with "Ceres - Cupar etc" on the list. Click on it and you will see what I mean. This has also happened with other locations as well.
Just thought I'd let you know.

Have just tried that on my Laptop, Ceres shows as undefined, as doe`s Ceres Cupra.
Ceres, Fife shows the correct location.
Could be a glitch with Tele Atlas as Google Earth shows Ceres in Fife, also a number of Ceres around the World.
Strange. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2589, IPad2, RAC 05' |

Yes, where/how are you getting that list of place options, Adam?
If I put "Ceres" in the "find a location" box on the map page HERE, all that happens is the single word "Undefined" appears just above the map itself.
I'm using Firefox 3 browser. |

The list below appears under the search box (after typing "Ceres" into the search box) between the box and the top edge of the map. I couldn't find a way of inserting a screen dump into this reply so the list has been copied and pasted in. I'm using XP SP3 with IE8. All of the options are hyper linked as one would expect and when clicking on the Cupar option I am taken back to the PGPS home page. I have tried this many times all with the same result.
Did you mean:
Ceres, Bemmel 6681 Lingewaard, GLD, The Netherlands)
Ceres, Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina)
Ceres, Captain Boiso Lanza, Uruguay)
Ceres, Katwijk 2221 Katwijk, ZH, The Netherlands)
Ceres, Lima, Lima, Peru)
Ceres, Ulrum 9971 De Marne, GR, The Netherlands)
Ceres, Cupar, Fife KY15, UK)
Ceres, Stanislaus, CA, USA)
Ceres, Broadmead Rd, Woodford Green, Greater London IG8, UK)
Ceres, Veldhoven 5505 Veldhoven, NB, The Netherlands))
Hope that throws some light on this.

I am also using Firefox and all appears as it should be.
I have just tried Ceres Find location with IE7 and recieved the same results as Adam, multiple results for mostly in the US.
So it must be something to do with IE7 _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2589, IPad2, RAC 05' |

we are aware of the issue. it's an IE / google local issue.
google regularly change their code and as we use a 'hack' of this code if google change it then it no longer works...
the best thing to do is to be more specific in the search terms eg instead of just 'Ceres' put 'Ceres, Katwijk'

No, just one word, "Undefined" on Firefox, yes to a drop down menu on IE 7. _________________ Garmin Nuvi 2589, IPad2, RAC 05' |

Could be
Not sure if its IE8 only but the drop down menus at the top of the pages are all squashed in a vertical sense as well.
Off topic so I'll go now _________________ Adam |
