TT Go 930T running App V8.302
Just wondering what the best 3rd party add-on program is to play mp3s/videos on my TT.
Would like to see:
Cover / Album art shown (a la Garmin)
Graphic Equaliser function so i can adjust the low bass levels I hear when playing over FM.
Ability to browse media folders on TT.
Any other MP3 player functionality thats available (cant think of the top of my head now...)
Any suggestions? |

The only three media players I know of for the Tomtom are listed in my topic HERE
I've not heard yet if any of them still work with v8.350 software. |

And be aware that, should you consider Bluetooth Streaming it will accomodate you but you won't have remote next/previous, pause, FF/REW functionality from a remote device because TT have implemented A2DP to stream the audio but not AVRCP to control the device. Worth knowing if you want to buy a head unit or Carkit to stream it through. _________________ Tom Tom GO 720

I use Tomplayer on my 520 but have copied it to a seperate sd card so that it is not navcore dependant and I just copy video files over to it when required. I find it to be an excellent program, it allows fm transmissions to your car radio, but I have not tried it with mp3's yet |

anyone know how to get the album art working ?
it works for the audiobooks that come with the tt930, but i am not sure if the image is embedded in the audiobook file or if its a seperate thing?
for mp3 album art to show does it have to be bmp / jpg of certain sizes? |

Album art is stored inside the mp3 itself isn't it?
Use iTunes, right click on the file and select "Show info".
The "info" tab allows you to add or edit the "ID3 tags" for track name, artist etc, which the TomTom uses for it's details on screen, or go to the "art" tab for the cover art. |

aaaaarrrrrrhhhhh
i dont use itunes cos I dont have an mp3 player of sorts, so i used media player in windows to rip an original cd which displayed the album art. post rip, no jpgs / bmps in the folder but it showed the album art, therefore the info was stored in the mp3's.
copied it to sd card and played album....no image!!!!!!!!
have other people got album art when they play mp3's or is this feature not supported?
do i have to sync my device to transfer the albums or is copy and paste in windows ok? |

Did you get a third-party player in the end, or are you still using the built-in player?
If it's the built-in one, then no, it doesn't display album art at all.
I've only ever copied and pasted into the "mp3" folder, never synced.
When I tried to run a separate iTunes library for the TT, I got in all sorts of messes (as always seems to happen when you try to do anything with iTunes other then what they expect you to do!). Kindo got it sorted, but it was too much hassle in the end, so I just copy and paste. |
