Can anyone tell me if the Tomtom Splash Generator is working

You should find four different bmp files the device uses for splash screens:

lowbatteryw.bmp that is displayed when the device shuts down due to a lack of power.

splashw.bmp that is used when the device boots up.

suspendw.bmp that is used as the device shuts off depending upon the setting of the checkbox for "Warn not to leave the device in the car" (Change Preferences/ Safety Preferences) if this isn't ticked you will get the suspendw.bmp displayed.

antitheftw.bmp that is used as the device shuts off depending upon the setting of the checkbox for "Warn not to leave the device in the car" (Change Preferences/ Safety Preferences) if this is ticked you will get the antitheftw.bmp displayed - Mike

Hence the confusion, I guess. I do have antitheft, not suspend in my root.

Ive looked and looked and i just cant see the suspendw.bmp ,I can see the others.

Now this wouldn't be a problem because i unchecked the Warn not to leave the device in the car.I now get the same splash screen

But i thought people were also having a different splash screen when they shut down? I was going to do that.

I could allways change the picture of the antitheftw.bmp,Then i can tick the box: Warn not to leave the device in the car.

If you don't have a suspend/suspendw file just make one and add it. It needs to be the same size and format as the others.

You could change antitheftbmp, but it will get overwritten everytime you do a software update.

I did make a suspend file lastnight but it never worked,But ill have another go

EDIT: It works all i can say about it not working lastnight,Well i have no idea maybe it was late and i wasn't thinking right
