Nokia E71, which system?

Dear Group. I hope to soon be aquiring a Nokia E71 which has in-built GPS.

Leaving aside the fact that i believe that it has Nokia maps installed, which would be the easiest and best option for having UK only sat-nav capabilities with the option of speed camera alerts.

Have a look at McGuider, the E71 is a supported device according to their web site, you can check out this application by clicking Here - Mike

Thanks Mike, i'd never heard of them, but that looks like the kind of thing i'm after. My wife uses Tomtom but i think Tomtom isn't fully compatible with the E71.

Oh, one final thing Mike, and i hope you forgive my ignorance. When using such a thing on my proposed E71, i wont be charged for it will i? I mean it just uses the satellite info and wont need to connect to my phone provider?
Am i right?

The maps reside on a memory card so there are no additional GPRS data charges while using the application - Mike

Unless i am mistaken and probaly are, I think the nokia maps do use the airways and thus a data charge for navigating, I have just aquired an N95 and believe this is the case although not got round to using it yet.
