M6 J 17-16 SPECS =S ?

hi,
i was traveling south the M6 from J23-16 last night doing 80 approx all the way, this morning i visited the website to see if there were any speed cameras along the stretch of motorway to find apparrantly there are SPECS between junction 17 and 16, it also said the SPECS was set to a 40mph speed limit Sad

Althought all of the other traffic was travelling at around 80mph along the stretch too Confused

Can anyone please help? Have the camera's been removed? as i know there was road works there back in 2005-2007 i think so the SPECS may of been temporary Confused

Welcome to the forum, having just looked at the map there are no Specs in the area you mentioned, there are plenty betweeen M6 J6/ J4 though - have you got an old version of the database installed on your device which is incorrectly reporting cameras to you while on the road. Or are you saying there are lots of Specs cameras between J17/ J16 on the M6? - Mike

Even if your database is up to date, check to see if you have a category for "Temp" cameras. If you have, it is a "left-over" from an old version and should be deleted. The "temp" cameras are now included in the other main camera type files like "Gatso" etc.

thanks for the replies and yess i must have the older version as the moderator said there are no cameras in that area,

I'm confused! You said you looked on the web site. If you meant this one, then the map should always show the current database?
