To some computer systems the pocketworld site is unusable. I guess most people that have these systems just walk away from the site (I use multiple computers largely with XP SP3 and Firefox/IE for example). Just thought worth the comment:
It used to work with my systems but the recent upgrades to SP3 must have changed something. The site also doesn't work for downloading using linux/firefox/conquerer combinations.
Other than that the site is OK. No good for the likes of me with my particular computer combinations so no point in taking out a subscription (I've tried 4 computer/system combinations and all return a failed condition for the site) |

Eh? (It works just fine with fully updated versions of XP, IE, Firefox and AOL.) |

There is nothing on our site that will not work under XP regardless of Service pack level?
What exactly is the issue? Do you use Firewall software? _________________ Darren Griffin - Editor |

Have just tried my older pc which uses XP SP3 and Firefox, with McAfee firewall etc.
I had not used it to try PGPSW since installing SP3.
Works just fine
Also tried some other none PGPSW forums with no problems.
Something in your settings must be wrong. |

The site and all downloads, POIs and Speed Cameras work fine on my XP Sp3 / Firefox 3 / IE 8 / Chrome. There are also no issues with a Vista / IE 7 machine.
Perhaps you would be good enough to list your machine / OS / Browser combination so that tests by others with matching software could be made.
What errors do you get and what are you trying to download?
If it's the Speed Camera database, are you logged in and have you a current subscription? _________________ Ric - TomTom 520 DEAD - Passed to the great traffic jam in the sky. Now using Maps & Waze on Samsung Galaxy S4 + CamerAlert of course! |
