|
|
I've yet to choose between the TT one Europe, and the XL Europe. I have tried to get specific info on the XL's Bluetooth function but even the TT manual doesn't reveal too much about it.
What I want to know is exactly what the BT function offers. Specifically I'd like it to provide a hands free mobile function so that I can answer calls on my mobile and if possible use it to select from my telephone book on the mobile when making a call.
I do not need data services for the TT as I intend to use only the TMC receiver.
If anyone can explain the BT functionality of the TT XL I'd be grateful, alternatively info on any other model that is not too expensive and provides the BT hands-free function would be useful. |

The older "Classic" One XL does indeed have luetooth but it ban only be used inconjunction with a phone to provide a data connection - IT CANNOT operate as a handsfree device for your phone.
The Newer XL doesn't have any Bluetooth capability at all.
As you want handsfree and European mapping have a look at This While these are still available you should consider if the 720 isn't a better solution to what you need from the nav unit, at that price they won't be around for long so move quick and grab a bargain - Mike |

Once again Mike thanks for the information. I have taken the plunge and ordered the 720 from the link you supplied. Also found it via find-satnav-deals and got free postage using the voucher code
My other half had fancied the new models because of the new mount design, but looking at it logically if I use a TMC and the charger then they need to be removed from sight as well to avoid drawing attention to the Sat Nav, so really the only advantage of the new mount is that it is slimmer and can remain on the TT.
She usually totes a huge handbag anyway
Just one question. Is there a specific TMC receiver for the 720?
Thanks again, this Forum has been a great find! |

Either the Mini USB or round plug style RDS-TMC receiver will work with the 720, go for the mini USB style unit if you get the chance though as its a better device IMHO - Mike |
