Mike that sounds great, sounds like the audi amplified aerial uses a seperate live feed so there should be no power down the coax, I will check that 1st though Smile

Same as a vauxhall then by the sounds of it.

I didn't splice in to the wiring - I took the aerial base off and soldered a seperate coax to the amp output and ran this under the headlining, down the a pillar behind the trim and terminated it in a standard car coax socket. I then replaced the standard TT 'aerial' wire with a short length of coax terminated in a standard car coax plug. No visible wiring when the TMC is removed from the car.

Good luck, it makes a huge difference in weak signal areas.

Andy

Will it be OK if some of us don't feel tempted by this? I Did some IT Myself this last weekend, assembling a flatpack two pedestal desk and had to un-assemble it in the end - three funny screws wrong and I'd got a shelf on back to front. Bit of a record actually - got it finished in less than two days! The door opens and all the drawers slide out and back in (although I'll not be doing a lot of opening and sliding, tempting fate).
