TMC info in Scotland (added: and the rest of the UK)

Hello

I've noticed that for some time now, I've not been getting any traffic information for Scotland. I live in the Edinburgh area and *used* to
get traffic info for this area on a regular basis. All I get on my Garmin
(265T) now is traffic info for south of the border.

As a result, Garmin is currently carrying out a large number of tests re
TMC info for the Edinburgh area, and, perhaps other areas in Scotland,
too.

Could I please ask those of you who live in, or travel within, Scotland
and used to receive traffic information there and are not receiving it now
to report everything to Garmin.

I hope that what I posted here is not against rules, and I do apologise
in advance if I broke any forum rules by posting this post.

Further to my post earlier in March, I've been informed that there will be a traffic software fix coming within a month for those who use the GTM 25. After further communication, I've found out that the problem concerns slower moving traffic in the UK, not just Scotland.

From Garmin:

There is a problem with the GTM 25
not picking up certain slow traffic incidents. We are expecting a
software fix for this issue but as of when this is coming out we are not
certain.

I would recommend disregarding the traffic reports in Scotland from non
TMC sources as these have different coverage's etc...

Hopefully this fix will come out sooner rather than later and would like
to thank you for your persistence in trying to get this resolved as it
has been your input which has properly brought this issue to light.
