540 still freezes intermittently

I have reported this before and never really got to the bottom of the problem. I was hoping that with the new 825 maps and new 8.310 app that the problem would have disappeared but it's still there. I also tried the 'Clear Flash' tool but without success.

The problem is my map sometimes freezes and usually in the same areas.
Let me explain. I typically do a run up and the down the M4 once a week from J17 to J4. Going eastbound the map always seems to freeze not long before the J13 Newbury turn off though the verbal instructions continue as if nothing has happened. The same does NOT happen when going westbound through the same stretch of road.
I have also seen the same problem up and down the M5, a little more intermittently i.e. not every time but again usually at the same places each time it does happen.
Has anybody else seen or experienced this? Any suggestions to fix this?
I already tried a factory reset etc without any success.

Separately I have also noticed since the last "upgrades" that the cursor lag appears to be significantly worse, especially on country roads.

My 940 freezes intermittently. The map stops updating but you can tape the screen to get to the menu and then return to the map and all is well again for a time.

It is a known issue so we can hope it will be fixed. Affects most x40 users at some time or another.
