Hi,
I have noticed adverts for a beanbag Garmin satnav mount. Are there any comments or reviews on this product? Question

Don't know about anything 'official', but I use one for my 760T, and I also modified one for my daughter's Magellan unit. In my humble opinion they are brilliant; they don't move about (but if you want to move it, eg, for the passenger to play with, it's dead easy), and of course there are no tell-tale sucker marks on the windscreen!

The only downside I could possibly imagine is what you do with it when you leave the car (no point leaving it on view, defeats the point about no sticker marks!). Mine fits into my glove-box out of sight, or if that's full, in a black plastic bag under the seat it is invisible from outside.

Very Happy

A downside that is worth considering is what happens in an accident. Although the bean bag adds a couple of hundred grams to the projectile, it does give you a 50/50 chance of a "soft" headache producing impact vs a "Hard" hole in the head impact.

An just in case it misses the first time, they provide the curly cable bungy to pull it back for a second chance. To really give a fair go, put it on top of the passengers Airbag. I bet would be fun to watch (from the outside of the car Very Happy )

Excellent mount IMO. Much more convenient than a windshield mount, quick to stow for a short stop and I've never had it move abouot on the dash. Very solid. Nearly the only product I've ever seen on Amazon with a full five stars.
