I've (twice) attempted to download a subset of the Accomodation POI's to load on my NUVI 200.
When I try to extract the files it says they are password protected.
I have in the past downloaded a bigger subset of several categories without a problem.
Has something changed or am I doing something wrong ?

I assume you mean that the zip file is password protected? It's working OK for me. I used the Show Link option, and tried it both by combining the sub-categories, and leaving them in separate files.

Which App are you using to extract the files?

I'm using the bog-standard Windows XP file extractor wizard.
Works OK on other ZIP files.

Just tried using the "Show Link" option as suggested.
When I try to "Extract All" it still asks for a password ?

Richard.... I'm getting a bigger problem...
I went to try to reproduce the above problem just to confirm whether or not it was working for me, and I cannot select "OTHER .CSV" at all!

I can download a random selection of Accomodation categories as .OV2 and can unzip them fine - no password required

But if I try to change to "OTHER .CSV" and then hit "Refresh" it goes back to .OV2 in the box and the .ov2 version gets downloaded.
If I change it to "OTHER .CSV" and DON'T hit "Refresh" it still downloads the .ov2 version.

Above using Firefox... just off to try in I.E.

Bizarre...
Tried it in IE and
1. The box does still default back to "TomTom .ov2" when you hit "Refresh", but
2. The .csv version does down load correctly when you select "OTHER .CSV" again.

I just tried it again with Firefox and this time it DID download them as .csvs.

Must have ust been another glitch...
As an aside, would it be better to have the format selection between .ov2 and .csv AFTER the country and category selection if the "refresh" button is going to change it back again?

Sorry for the digression, back to the OP's problem....

graham47, just a thought: are you extracting from or to a password protected drive (eg thumbdrive)? It could be that asking for a password. Confused

I'm downloading & extracting to my C drive as normal.

OK, I've downloaded & installed a copy of WINZIP & I can now extract & use the files OK.
