In my TomTom Home Folder there are loads of sub-folders under the TomTom\Home\Download\complete folder such as
ephemeris and then
QuickGPSfix
QuickGPSfix-1
QuickGPSfix-2
etc
fuelprice and then
Fuel_Prices_Europe___Update_prices
Fuel_Prices_Europe___Update_prices-1
Fuel_Prices_Europe___Update_prices-2
etc
map and then
Western___Central_Europe_2GB with nearly 2 Gb Map Data
There are more for the NavCore and Premium Safety Cameras etc...
Do i need all these once they are loaded to the unit? It's taking up the best part of 2 Gb (mostly map data i know). I've got unit backups so should i backup and delete any of this data or can i just delete it? |

You can delete the downloaded stuff that is regularly updated but I would suggest copying the downloaded maps and programs folders to a DVD first, in case you ever need to re-install them or revert to a previous application. _________________ Drivelux |

The ephemeris and Quickfix stuff, as well as Fuel prices can all be deleted. So long as you have installed he map and have a backup, that can be deleted as well.
Yet another of my gripes with HOME, it's very untidy and sloppy programming that causes these incremented folders. Zero need to do so. _________________ Darren Griffin |

You may want to check out the junk in the licence and translation folders as well. _________________ David |

.. and the only time when it SHOULD produce incremented folders, is when it makes BACKUPS, and then it doesn't! |
