Screen will not work on Tom Tom 520

Hi All, I recently updated my 520 with 8.320 and 825 maps, and all was working well, but at the weekend the screen went blank for about 5 mins whilst driving and then came back on again by itself. At the end of my journey I powered down the unit, but on switching on again, nothing happened. I performed a soft reset and on turning the unit it I could hear the tom tom drums but nothing on the screen at all.

Anyone had a problem like this, and if so any ideas on how to fix it.

It might be a hardware fault with the screen, but if you can still connect to the PC, it might be worth reinstalling the operating system.
The easiest way to do that is to restore a backup you've previously made, but if you don't have one, make one now and then delete the files that AREN'T in a folder (leave all the folders alone). Now when you connect to TT Home, it should reinstall the software for you.
