Just found this on the tomtom site.Hope it cures the problem!!!

The computer voice on some GO x20 and x30 devices with application version 8.300 may sound broken up or faltering.

An updated version of the TomTom application solving this issue is now available. To update to the latest application version, connect your device to TomTom HOME and then click Update my device.

The 8,302 Navcore release for the x20/ x30 devices does seem to cure the main issues with stuttering voices and slow screen refresh rates, it is a considerable step in the right direction compared to the 8,300 and 8,301 releases - Mike

Even if the user uses a charger, Andy?

Yes, see my posts in the previous topic I started about v8.302 where I too thought it had fixed it at first....

New v8.302 software available for x20/x30 models, AND ????

First posts on page one - hopeful...my post in the middle of page 2 - very disappointed, my post made just now on page 4 - resigned... Crying or Very sad

ALL done using the Go on the charger (although I'll admit the demo one where it was worst it was charging from the PC USB link as I was at home).

I think it is probably as good as it is going to get now.
