Hi
I am running TT7 and am seeking to buy USA and Canada maps. I am not bothered if they are the latest or a couple of years old as long as they work, so am looking to buy as cheap as possible.
What versions of USA maps will run on TT7 that I may find on UK or USA ebay sites please? |

I strongly suspect that any maps you are offered on ebay will either be pirated or previously used on another machine (to which they'll be locked) or alternatively VERY out of date because TT haven't sold maps on SD card for a long time.
All Tomtom maps are sold as direct downloads from their servers now. |

Possibly because you need navcore version 8 before being offered the curent maps. I don't know if, or for how long, older maps are available. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Thanks for that, perhaps I should have mentioned first that I am running TT7 navigator on a HTC Touch HD.
Lucky to have that running! Download UK maps through TT home and it works well but would like usa maps.
Happy to buy off ebay seller/Amazon etc provided the copy is legitimate and not previously activated.
I understand that Tom Tom 6 usa maps works with TT7 but seek conformation before the fool parts with his money. |

Sorry, I didn't realise you were on Navigator. Maybe you'd get better results if you ask on the TomTom Handheld forum. _________________ TT Go Essential |

No joy at all my friend. I have found an o2 thread which lists all maps that work with tt7 navigator, I approached TomTom for confirmation opf compatibility but they sat on the fence which is fair enough if they are NOT offering support for the HD Touch.
Result is I have not purchased to date. |

You may want to take a look at the new TTN V7 website .
However you may be in for a suprise as they don't appear to be offering anything other than Western europe at present. And you have to buy that on SD card for now.
Other links refer to other mapping - but USA is conspicuous from it absence. _________________ Phil |
