When I put my POI in my Garmin SD card using POI_Loader I have to have it like this

If I put the Camera files in it's own folder like the other POI's they wont show on the carmin Nuvi 760 they just show as grey dots

None of the POIs should be in folders of their own. They should all be bundled into one folder and POILoader will then read that folder and upload its contents.

As you have it currently in your image, ONLY the camera POIs will install.

I’ve had all of my Garmin's for several years. At no time could I use multiple folders to load poi’s to them.

As far as I know ALL the files have to be in one folder only, which you then browse too in PoiLoader.

It then loads them all at that time, and complies them in to one file.

I have 1 folder in that folder is what you see above POI_Loader reads this and input it to the SD card fine.

If you look in the picture there are camera files all over the place if I put this in a folder like the rest the Nuvi wil thenl only see it as grey dots.

so the Folder structure I have is

You misunderstand. When you run POILoader, you tell it which folder contains your POI files.

POILoader expects ALL the POIs to be 'loose' in the folder you tell it to look in. You cannot have sub-folders within the folder containing all your POIs neatly organised as you have above, this will not work.

As you have them organised now, assuming the parent folder is called POIs and inside this is all those folders and files, then POILoader will only install the loose camera POIs. It will completely ignore all the others.

In your example you have individual folders within the POI folder. You cannot do this. It should look like this:

So what do you have under Proximity Points on your device?

If I go to (Tools-Settings-Proximity points-Change) I see (Garmin Saftey Cameras) this does not have a tick in the box. I also see (Custom POIs) this does have a tick in the box

Now if I go to (Where to-Extras) I see (Custom POIs) I click it and I see

If I click any of the categories I get a list of that category

Well I must admit that I have just tried your way of loading the poi's within different folders, and it works. Perhaps this is a feature that has been added to PoiLoader over the last year or so. But I am sure that you could not do this in the earlier versions.

Forgot to try the safety camers in a separate folder. But all other poi's I left in their folders and placed those folders within the safety camera folder and it loaded them all okay. I know this because I loaded some test poi's just to see. And they are all there in their different categories.

I've been doing this way for 2 years, since I got my Nuvi 200W my first satnav. The strange thing I found is if you put the camera files in there own folder like the rest of the POIs the Nuvi will only show them as grey dots not camera symbols

My structure, to me makes a lot more sense especially when it comes to updating your POIs.

Edit

You can put the camera files in a folder Very Happy they seem to have fix the bug I was having.

The grey dots bug in normally caused by having more than 255 categories in one folder.
