See if you can get it in writing that the map updates are for two years and cover the European map AND the North American map, if they will do this its worth considerably more than £70
Map updates are new maps offered around every three months, they are not just small updates but complete new maps for the device - Mike |

Thats a print screen of the basket of items, doesnt really give you much on the map update service. But £334.42 with a £50 fuel voucher you cant complain about that!
Just looked on the TomTom website about the map Update and its £7.95 per quarter, so that price abover seems right doesn't it? |

It looks like a misprice, as the 740 is listed at £389.45, so I would be quick if you want one.
I noticed on the 740 it says Live Services cost £9.95/month, but I thought it was supposed to be £7.99/month?
Apart from a little logo that says you get free map updates for 2 years there is no more info on the Dixons website.
I recently bought a 930 refurb from eBay for £180 which I am more than happy with, as I got the Latest Maps Guarantee and was not interested in the 940 Live services as you can't subscribe to normal GPRS traffic which is only £30/year and I would have to buy a new Brodit mount as I don't use the supplied windscreen mounts. |
