Geocaching

I was out geocaching today and found that when I zoom in close in the last few mts the pixelation on the 1:25 map makes accurate location of the cache difficult.
I removed the SD card and was able to home in far closer without the "clutter" of pixelated map.
I haven't found another way to "turn off" the SD map without partly removing it.
Is there another way or is it a workaround only job?

I see what you mean. I don't zoom in that far for caching, I would scroll down to the bottom of the description and look at the Hint. Ha Ha!
