|
Hello! I just bought a Nuvi 680 and I would like to know if I can get a car stereo with Bluetooth, then transmit to the stereo via BT instead of the FM transmitter?
Thanks! |

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what that means. |

I thought you wanted to know where to get bluetooth car radios rather than can one be paired with a gps unit.[/u] _________________ Returned to a proper Garmin although still have Co-Pilot on a Galaxy S3! |

Have you got the model number right as I cannot find a Garmin 680 anywhere on their own web site, there is of course the 860 but the spec sheet for that model doesn't mention the A2DP Bluetooth mode needed for music streaming. A2DP is mentioned against the 765 and 775 models though - Mike |

Mike - there was a Nuvi 680 reviewed about 15 months ago although it has been discontinued now. Probably a step up from the old Nuvi 660. _________________ Returned to a proper Garmin although still have Co-Pilot on a Galaxy S3! |

Exactly. I'm not sure what the difference is, but it's just about the best $175 I've ever spent. This thing is so far beyond my $1800 Ford factory installed unit that you can't even compare the two.
The FM transmitter will probably be fine, my question was more out of curiosity than anything. I just want to know if it will pair with a BT-enabled stereo.
I was going to get a 760, but the reviews I read said that the speaker sucks in the 760 and it really doesn't have much over the 680 anyway. After receiving this, I'm glad I saved the $60 because this one is awesome! |
