But I am blaming the banks! How can they be baled out of the , The tax payer gave them loans, for them to refuse to lend to the rest!
And Northern Rock employees are to get a bonus! because they met the repayment on the loan from the government!

If people spent money they had already earned rather than spent money they might earn in the future, there wouldn't be a problem. _________________ Drivelux |

Just noticed via some of the comparison tomtom shopping sites that the 940 which was available around the £325 mark last week are now closer to £375 also I was at Dixons in the airport 2 days ago and they were changing the instore price from £348 to £398 so it seems to have risen about £50
Are tomtom skint?

Nothing to do with TomTom, which is produced in the Eurozone. Prices of all imported goods will rise in the same way. We should have joined the Euro years ago!

If this was the case there would be no such thing as buisness, there would be no industry, and 99% of home owners would not own a home.
Good Idea!!!! Well thought out. |

Don't know if it's a good price or not, but the best I found for the TT GO Live 740 was £249 from The Link, most other places I found this model were much more expensive. |

...and with £40 fuel discount and no need to pay £60 - £75 for map updates it's a bargain. |

Yeah I was wondering that, maybe the confusion is with latest map guarantee |

Hmmm, I was under the impression that map updates were free too, but my point was that I would have to pay to update the maps on my GO 700 whereas buying the new TomTom means I get the latest maps included in the price. So for me £40 fuel discount and £75 for not having to buy the latest maps of Western & Central Europe are a genuine bonus. |

940 now £333.5 @ Dixons. Anyone seen a better price recently? Or a similar High St price? _________________ Jock

OK, OK, I should have bought it yesterday, but there was no mention of "special offer"! _________________ Jock
