|
|
Hi,
I have a year old Nuvi 255w with the latest mapset but have noticed recently that the user interface on the newer 255's seems to have been updated slightly. (different icons, repositioning of distance etc)
My machine is regulally connected to WebUpdater for the latest updates but still has theold interface so does anybody know if the whole interface can be updated to the newer version ???
Cheers

The only way would be through the Updates from Garmin which you already have.
Can you show an example where your screen differs from another you have seen? Screenshots and links if possible. |

No problem with the images.
I can't explain it really. One explanation is that the images are incorrectly attributed to being a 255W. With so many variations on the market the image could be another model.
Unless we have pictures of 2 verified 255Ws side by side with the two different displays then i wouldn't worry too much.
Or unless another 255W can verify they have the alternative display.... |

PeterSm
The first screenshot shows a Nuvi 2X0 which has no turn indicator and the zoom in / out as squares opposite each other.
The second screenshot shows a Nuvi 2X5 which has the turn indicator in the top left and the zoom in / out as circles on the right hand side and underneath each other.
The Nuvi 2X5 hasn't been out a year so is it definitely a 2X5 you have and not a 2X0 as I have never seen a 2X5 with anything other than the second screenshot image.
If you can post the details of the firmware version and chipset version from the settings system about screen it will help us try and answer your question. _________________ DriveLuxe 51 LMT D - Firmware 6.70

I knew it must have been a wrongly attributed picture but i couldn't work out which model it was. |
