tom tom voices

hi can someone please advise me how to put the new voices i have
on to my tom tom one v4 traffic ???

1. Save downloaded voice files to a folder on your PC, for example in "C:\My Documents\TomTom\voices"

2. Switch on your TomTom and connect it to the computer (USB cable)

3. Click the Windows Start logo at the bottom left of your screen, then click on "My Computer" and you should see the your TomTom ( e.g. Devices with Removable Storage with a small icon). Double click on the icon and the TomTom's folder view will open.

4. Find a folder labelled "voices" on the TomTom, double click it to open it,

5. Copy any of the voice files from the PC folder ( all 3 files: .CHK, .BMP and .VIF) and paste into the "voices" folder.

6. You can save as many voices as you want, but they must all have a different number after the "data" in the name.

7. After pasting the last voice use the "safely remove hardware" icon in the system tray near the clock on the PC, wait for it to tell you it is safe and then remove your USB cable.
Your TomTom will reboot and you will be able to activate selected voice.


To change a voice on your TomTom:
1. Tap the screen:
2. Tap "Change Preferences "
3. Tap "Voice Preferences"
4. Now select "Change Voice"
5. Use the right and left buttons to scroll around your available voices, or select them from the list.
