help please full back up on navman n40i

hi i want to do a full back on navman been told the software supplied doesnt give you a full backup can anyone confirm heard active sycn gives you a full backup can anyone confirm also heard you can copy contents from my computer on to folder on pc i can do this is it just a case of putting files back on navman from pc to do restore can anyone confirm scared in case i brick my navman

Has anyone got a full file backup they could send me, I'm not bothered about maps, but the main system files, I accidently deleted a file and now my (well it's not mine, so it's rather urgent) Navman N40i won't load, it just comes up with the USB image, I've tried a "hard" reboot, well if you call turning off a button then the switch underneath a hard reboot, I've done that to no effect, think I must've deleted the Windows CE file, or one of them.

Panic over, phewww! After a restart of Navman and PC, uninstallation of the "unrecognised" USB device and then a re-install of SmartST 2006 SE the device was connected and telling me SmartST wasn't installed on Navman and then installed the updated software perfectly, unlike the first time which resulted in the panic in the first place.

Now how the hell do I find and install newer UK maps?!!
