Tomtom one classic western map & TomTom 700 map update

On one of the tele TV channels today they were offering a TomTom One Classic with Western Europe map. £100 including delivery.

This got me thinking that as I want to upgrade my wife's 700 with a newer version western Europe map could I purchase this I would then have a system myself and then copy the map from the tomtom one to the 700 and upgrade the map on this.

The Map on the newer Device will be locked to that Unit. It won't Activate on a second Device, and could ruin your upgrade path in the future.

You could copy the map to the older device but it won't work!

Maps are locked to the device they are activated on and cannot be simply copied to additional navigation devices, you will have to update the maps on the 700 as a seperate purchase - Mike
