Newbie City Navigator Loading Question

I have just ordered a copy of City Navigator NT Europe for my GPS60CX. I have a pc and laptop that I would like to install the software on. Is it only licensed for one machine or the other?

I believe it will be licensed for only one PC.

You install it for use on your PC with MapSource using one product code (?10 digit) then use the second 25 digit code to unlock it (or regions of it) for one navigation device (eg your GPSMap60).

Installation on another PC may need another product code - installation of mapping onto another navigation device certainly will! I've never tried to install maps onto more than one PC though.

I'm not sure, but I think you can load the maps on to a second computer by just following the route you would if they were lost by a computer crash and needed to be re-installed. I think there's a q/a on the Garmin support section covering this.

I can't see it as a real licensing problem as far as the PCs are concerned as it is really the satnav itself that the maps are for.
