TT One Voice Change

Hello

I've just updated my old V1 Tomtom one to the new 30 series one (the one with the clever new mount)
The thing is, I've selected the same voice (Tim) on the new one and it sounds different to the old one.

Any one know why this would be and how I can get the old Tim back.

As far as I know there only was (and is) ever one Tim. However, if I am wrong I’m sure someone will enlighten both you and I.

If you use Home and go to "Show contents of my Go/One" you will be able to find the version number and size for "Tim" (Voices/Tim/Show info).
Post it here, and people will be able to compare it with theirs.

Mine on a 720 and a 940 both say version 1, so at first glance it looks like Trevor is right.
But the sizes reported by Home are different....
704kB on the 720
680kB on the 940

So maybe there ARE differences?

But then, comparing the .vif (information) files in the voices folder

The 720 says:
English(UK) - Tim data04.chk Tim 2 0 110 1

The 940 says:
English(UK) - Tim data04.chk Tim 2 0 110 1

i.e .exactly the same...

and Windows Explorer reports the sizes of the .chk files as:

670 KB (687,040 bytes) on the 720
670 KB (687,040 bytes) on the 940

i.e .exactly the same again!
