ok, I know the old 'switch lane' thing with specs cameras but....

How are the cameras linked together.

for example 4 cameras, 1,2,3,4
is your speed measured between 1 and 2, 1 and 3, 1 and 4, 2 and 3 etc

On the A14 to M11 there are 2 zones, probably 3-4 mile apart, but there are signs saying average cameras between them. Are these linked together?

just curious. Laughing

Basically, it can be anything they like....
The system is flexible enough to be set up to measure between two subsequent cameras OR between a start and end with several intermediate cameras.

Oh, and if you think the lane-change trick is a way round it... it isn't any more. They have changed the type approval to allow different cameras in different lanes to measure you.

Yup and they are already conducting trials of wide area SPECS configurations.
