Mine is usually good. The two times it wasn't right I had to tick the option again to go to night view when dark . That fixed it both times. |

I would prefer the option that is (was?) built in to the unit where it changes with the car lights but there seems to be no way to connect it through any of the currently available mounts.
I do not use the auto night switching on the 940, I just press the mic (voice recognition) screen button and say "day view" or "night view" and it changes for me. _________________ Drivelux |

On the x10 range there was a Car Connect module mentioned on the TT web site that used Bluetooth for communication to the x10 but was never offered for sale - this also had the options for linking to the car lighting to control the backlight/ display settings - Mike |

I keep thinking they would have got rid of the permanently greyed-out "Car Preferences" menu by now, if they didn't have more plans up their sleeves....

I, too, thought 'Car Preferences' was permanantly disabled for all models, Andy, but that turns out not to be the case.
Apparently, for the model TomTom DUO (TomTom Eclipse AVN2210p), it is active and somewhat functional. Do not know if that model was/is available in Europe. _________________ David |
