Hi

Does anybody know if there is a way to
delete text messages on nuvi 760
without resetting it?

Delete them from your phone. Then try switching the phone off and on so it resyncs the Phone Book and Messages.

I had this same problem, 95% of the time the deleted message would stay on the unit, only very occasionally would it actually get deleted.

Thanks for replying, I tried what you suggested but it didn't work.
I suppose I will have to reset it, which is very annoying because I will lose all the saved locations.

Take a backup of your unit before you do anything - that way you can copy the current.gpx file (it's in the GARMIn/GPX folder - at least on my 660). This contains your favourites.

Do I just copy the gpx file somewhere or is there more to it?
